Lately I've been curious about the sites I see that use software like Invision Power Board to host hundreds or even thousands of forums for free. For example, sites like BBFree.com, IBFree.com, and FreeIB.com. I've been thinking of making one of my own, with help of course from people familiar with the database software, etc.
Their source of revenue appears to be entirely based on google ads. So my questions are, has anyone made one of these type sites that actually makes a respectable profit? And second, if I decide to create one of these sites, does anyone have any suggestions that would help me out?
