You will hate me, and I know you have good names and good insights, but I see little value unless they get traffic on their own. The terms don't go with what it generally used by consumers when thinking about their credit reports or history. Obviously, they are ok to use if you or someone else wants to establish a site and put the time in, but I'm not so sure the names give anyone a competitive advantage in the industry.

Some will disagree with me on this, I am fairly certain.

Appraisals are an art, not a science. Someone with pessimism and a history of failure will appraise them low. Someone who wants to buy them and is nice will go higher, and assholes might appraise them even lower. Now, a good developer will appraise them higher, and someone with connections in the right financial market might appraise even higher than that or, if you are lucky, offer to broker.

BTW Creditcheck.org is on backorder auction right now at snapnames and rising fast; but that is the more correct phrase. CreditCheck.com would be impossible to buy, basically. Well I normally hate appraisal threads but let me give it a shot. IMO:

forum/reseller: $2,500 - $5,000
auction: $5,000 - $10,000
Developed: $xx,xxx
Successfully developed with high rankings and strong income (what you ought to be doing): ** unlimited **

p.s. I like your sig, its the shortest one on dnf?

A six figure sale and multiple five figure sales within 30 months of when I started in 2005. So, if you are refering to me being one of the failures and appraising low, then that is your problem. You probably forget that you bought two names out of my sales thread just two night's ago.

The botton line is that the names aren't strong. If you think they are then step up to the plate and offer him anywhere near what your not relevant comparisons suggest. Lastly, if you were not talking about me, I apologize, but you are still wrong to suggest that those who appraise low on this set of names are failures. I would wager that these names have never received a significant offer, and the OP is wondering if he really has the gems he thinks he has. These are the types of names that can really fool you into thinking you have something that you don't really have.

When someone steps up with a real money offer for these names of $2,500 to $5,000, like you say they are worth here, then that will be the starting point as to the value. If you aren't ready to spend your own money right now.....at least 2.5K, then your appraisal is just talk. If you have PM'd him an offer of at least that amount then I will say that you have a better idea on these names than I do.

I have dealt with thousands of names and I know that sometimes names like this can fool you. These are the exact types of names that, if they had good value, would be receiving multiple unsolicited email offers from people in the credit reporting industry. If those offers have recently been received, then he can let us know about them. If not, then I suggest they are not worth nearly what most people will suggest. As always........if you are ready to buy the name for what you appraise the name for, I will take your appraisal seriously. That is why ALL paid appraisals by places like Moniker, Sedo, Go-Daddy, or whomever does them are totally meaningless and worth ZERO. Those doing the appraising are not willing to offer even a 1/10th of the number they appraise at. Total scam.

Whoa dude I was not referring to you. I thought i was the first to respond to the OP; but I delayed on hitting the post reply button so I guess your post went in before mine. so dont be so sensitive. I dont even look at usernames often in a thread like this; its just appraisals, you read them and learn if you can, or laugh when they are orders of magnitude off. You read them and move on. And appraisals are not offers to purchase. The only threads less accurate than appraisal threads, are the political threads!
