I was being objective. It was 3 years ago that Greg (former owner of DNF) put on sale 3 letter .com domains for $400 - $600 a piece. Times change. People need to get over it: domains with an inherent value - such as short ones - have naturally increased in value, multiple times.
No offense to Wired, but as an old member of DNF he really should know that $500 for a 3-letter .com (with no Q, Y, J in it) is the definition of lowballing.
