Name only, little traffic. What do you think?

Daily Top what? :) I think your name needs development to realize full value. Right now the name itself is worth reg fee. Best of luck.

The domain obviously needs development to realize *any* value. I didn't think that was the point of this forum? Pointing out something that obvious. I am looking for an opinion from somebody who realizes that a large portion of domains are sold every day based not on their immediate value, but potential development value. If it were not so, domain brokers such as BuyDomains.com (many of whose domains also receive little traffic) would not be in business. I received an offer for this domain for $4000. Obviously somebody realizes that this domain has brandable potential for an online news publisher. Any valid opinions from those who recognize the fact that this is in fact worth more than a registration fee?

What makes the previous posts not valid? You are asking for appraisals about what people think. You are receiving opinions of members. If you do not like what someone says regarding your name then maybe you should go purchase a professional appraisal instead of posting the name on a forum to criticize the free appraisals you receive.

jdk, I apologize for that response. I did not actually think that you two believed it was only worth a registration fee (as I see that saying on this forum often, in some cases which is true). I do not think it is worth gold. And I honestly do not believe I could find somebody willing to pay more than $4000. I am realistic, so I do not need to be humbled by that common cliche here. But if that is your honest opinion, I thank you.

Saw that one coming too. :) They should add these to a dropdown list next to the reply button.

Apparently you haven't taken the $4k, so what could possibly be holding you back? That's like having someone from the other side of the world show up at your door to give you a million dollars for your old toothbrush. What's the deal? Why no deal? This name is utterly meaningless and uninteresting. A $4k offer is nothing short of remarkable. If someone tried to transfer it to me I wouldn't even bother to accept, that's how unappealing it is (except now, of course, and send me the name of the buyer  ). Take the money and run, and have a good laugh about such ridiculous good fortune.

short and meaningful.
$80-$150

Resellers aren't big on topsites because they take 1 to 2 years to get big since they gradually get more and more links. be worth developing and letting it sit since they run themselves.

I so agree with this last quote , 4k and you are asking how much its worth still . Man oh man , I got domains that get 2,200 uniques a day and not worth 4 k , Like seriously , TAKE the 4k,,,,

Its not even developed, Thats a the best deal you will ever get in this biz

4k for a worthless domain, Three words SELL SELL SELL

Just my opinion

Thank you. I appreciate your input. This makes more sense. I probably asked the wrong people since everybody here is in the business of reselling domains.

Because $4k is not a lot. I posted this particular domain here to evaluate the the name and potential development value for me to hire people and get a new project started. I am not in the business of selling domains. Now please, have a laugh somewhere else.

$4k is a fortune for this domain; it can buy you one that does have good potential, immediately recognizable meaning, and consumer appeal.

Where do you suggest I look for something comparable? I tried to get good domains here in the past but couldn't find any.

...

GreatDomains lists DailyFeeds.com for $20,000. This is what I'm talking about. It's not worth that much (nobody has taken it yet), and I am not interested in (feeds). I know their prices are outrageous. But this is just an example. I've yet to find a more easily rememberable domain for my purpose (news publishing). But hey, if it's out there, I'm interested.

Thanks guys. As resellers with lots of domains you're actually trying to get rid of, and with this domain not containing an immediately identifiable product or service, maybe I can understand now why so many of you here say, 'reg fee.' Maybe you are right. Here. If your market is stuck in this little corner of the world, then that's all it ever will be worth. But being a developer who has the insight and willpower on how to use this domain to its full potential, it is worth much more. And that is why companies like BuyDomains and GreatDomains can get away with those prices for some domains which are not much better. Because they have massive reach outside of the reseller world to those developers just like me, which you guys don't. Regardless, I know this domain is worth so much more than $8.95. It is a rather clouded judgement based on your business experiences as domain resellers with a more limited audience. I don't need verification that this is already a good domain for what I need; it's great. Watch me turn this domain into gold.

I'm not interested in anymore appraisals for this domain.

someone thinks this name is worth $4k then I would highly consider selling , but I'd also try to figure out who the buyer is too. ANY name can be developed and worth more money . ANY!

As someone else pointed out, it's as if a word is missing in the end: daily top ...news/videos/porn, whatever.

If you received $4k as an offer, you're lucky - as long as your ROI is high. If you spent $3k on it then it obvioulsy makes no sense selling it for $4k.

Sometimes it's better to let go of the ego and get the $$$$ vs. the $$$$$ :-D
