装修.com - Renovation/HomeImprovement/Decoration

Sold for $12k at that other IDN forum that shall remain nameless.

Massive ($50B) industry and a very good name.

Who was the seller, who was the buyer?

Does the buyer have plans to develop it? Just curious why so much for this domain within the reseller market. Did it get traffic?

Yes, it will have some, but if you are waiting until such domains achieve their full potential before dipping a toe in the market then you will never be able to afford it. Couple of years time you will be looking at 7 figures for comparable domains. These guys don't need proof. They know where this going and they have committed. Those that don't commit are called spectators!

That seems very cheap to me. I would have expected closer to six figures for that one. I mean that is a huge retail term.

Well it is very cheap really but the sale as pointed out above was made between speculators. The seller has a massive portfolio that is still expanding. The buyer obviously wanted to secure one very exceptional domain. He has done that now and I think he can look forward to a very comfortable retirement, but perhaps not for a couple of years.
