I am going to develop Devices.com, but just wanted some opinions on value. It was originally registered in 1995, and I recently acquired it. It is going to be a great resource for mobile devices, handheld devices, gps/navigation devices, medical devices...etc.

If you have any great ideas for development, please let me know via PM as I am currently putting some plans together.

I think you're on the right track with that name. Make it a review site so people can rate each device and leave comments, this will make the site 'sticky' and create a social aspect to it, which could make it popular.

Between resellers its a solid high $XXXX name, maybe even $XXXXX if you can generate some income. ( mind you we resellers are cheap...lol )

Now an enduser ( there are many for various applications ) it has to be a upper-high $XXXXX name. Perhaps develope it geared toward selling " devices " as you mention, affiliate programs with the big boys, gps, ipods, mp3's etc. Anything and everything. Best of luck.

Thanks, guys. There are so many types of devices (medical, gps, mobile, electronic, handheld, listening, hearing, storage, data.... etc) that this generic word has many uses. This will be my first "real" development project!

I havent really attempted it myself, but maybe creat a very appealing site and start to fill it with affiliates I am not such a great tech guy but seems easy enough...lol
