Diapers.com Became A $540 Million Company In Five Years
Amazon has agreed to a $540 million acquisition of Quidsi, the parent of Diapers.com and Soap.com, according to Fortune.

Diapers.com is an online retailer for baby supplies and products such as diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, car seats, strollers, and toys. It operates under its parent company Quidsi, which manages several consumer health and beauty retail sites.
The delivery service was originally founded as 1-800 DIAPERS in 2005 by Marc Lore and Vinit Bharara from Montclair, NJ.
In 2009, Diapers.com was ranked #35 overall, #1 for Retail, #3 in NY-NJ-PA, and #5 Top Indian Run Companies by INC Magazine in 2009
In 2010, Diapers.com was ranked #2 by STELLAService for outstanding customer service.
Sister site Soap.com was started in July 2010.
In November 2010, Amazon announced that it plans to acquire Quidsi for $500 million in cash and will assume about $45 million in debt. Amazon said Quidsi will continue to operate independently after the acquisition, which is expected to close in December.
