Yeah, although the sale goes beyond simply the domain assets. It's a successful business with high penetration in the search engine market.

Does that include reference.com thesaurus.com, etc?

The whole 96-volume encyclopaedia :D

To quote one article on the story on the Dictionary.com/Reference.com/Thesaurus.com sites: "They generated...net income of $2.8 million in 2006."

35 YRs net revenue for the assets. Good sale, but I'm sure answers.com has a much more valuable way to integrate them.

Congrats from Greensboro.
Like the URL 'God.com,' I think "Dictionary.com" is one of those sites, everyone will visit once in their lifetime.

Is 'Dictionaryof' the the buyer or seller?
