My guess: Parsing the zone files (doing 'difference' daily) and taking out all the domains that are on known parking DNS; i.e. targeting the most likely group of domain owners to be in the market. Then 'whois' for the data.

We're all still keen to know Rick what the paperwork is like... not just a simple domain 'push' to you required I'm guessing? Any faxes? Notarised paperwork? Tell all -- what are the formalities to pawn a domain? How tightly do you secure your loans?

Does filling in forms on your site opt me in to a database for postal mailings from financial institutions? If so, who's your list broker?

I own highly successful companies such as iWebmasters.com, CallCenterStaffLeasing.com, ConsumptionJunction (sick but gets 5 million visitors a day), WarningPages.com, and 15,000+ domains.

I took a company public on NASDAQ and have serious money to back these loans.
which website got 5 million visitors a day, DIGIPAWN.COM? :cheeky:

... People can say what they want about our marketing techniques but we have money on hand and we've never screwed over a customer...

1) Moderator - given the above, I insist that the 'warning' be removed from my account for my comments about these marketing techniques. I was 'saying what I want'

2) This person has confessed, in writing, in public, to sending unsolicited commercial spam. Since there are now laws prohibiting this in several countries and many US states, he has confessed to a crime.

3) He's bragging about the money he's made and is making (under the guise of 'relationship building'). Gee, that works really well. There's another 'Rick' who uses the same technique, yet can barely get 300 people to attend his trade shows, while his competitors attract 1,500+ with almost no advertising... so it arrogance is working well for him, too.

4) Since Rick Lamar is 1) confessing to this crime (repeatedly) (and after admiting it was a mistake and had been stopped) and 2) has a lot of money, I propose that he make amends by settling with each person he spammed for, say $10,000 each?

This will accomplish several things:
a) make him TRUELY sorry he spammed, and stop
b) prove that he's a s successful as he says he is
c) begin to re-establish credibility lost in this marketing fiasco

All in favor of the proposal post "SHOW ME THE MONEY"...

not yet taking sides.
However, I am heavily suggesting that this thread does NOT close.

Otherwise taking an info gathering aproach as there does seem to be someting not correct with the methodology being followed.

The guy is offering a service. Why not just delete the emails you don't like - it only takes 2 seconds - instead of posting a 10 minute diatribe on here. Just seems to me that some people have too much time on their hands.

Why not NOT SPAM to begin with. this this wouldn't be hapepning right?
How much time a person has is irrelevent.
And spammers only waste it.

I didn't give the crud my address to begin with.
Shouldn't have to delete what I didn't request.

Hey how bout I toss my garbage in your living room, only take a short time for you to pick it up, you won't mind right?
Add that to all the other ppl's tooo?
It gets old real fast!
But I guess you don't mind, so DIGIPAWN, sned all spams earmarked for me, to him.

Check this out i asked for a loan on gamehosts.com which has been appraised on this forum between $x.xxx and $xx,xxx and this is their ltv(loan to valuation) What a laugh ! as for sneakers.com they might even squeeze to a thousand LOL !

Thank you for your interest in DigiPawn and we appreciate this opportunity
to tell you more about our revolutionary new program. DigiPawn is a
licensed pawnshop operating in the state of Georgia, USA, specializing in
advancing money on digital assets, like domain names.

Because we are a pawnshop, we offer cash advances with a 30 day term.
These advances are typically only a fraction of the fair market value of
the asset, and the finance charge is 15%. Each cash advance is for a 30
day term and can be renewed automatically just by paying the finance
charge or you can pay the finance charge and the principal amount within
the thirty days to close the account.

For gamehosts.com, we are willing to avance $100 US.

Of course, we must have possession of the asset prior to making an
advance. For a domain name, the registration information must be changed
to us during the term of the pawn. The unique benefit to you is that
during the term of the agreement, you keep DNS control of the domain thus
you keep all the traffic generated by the domain.

If you want to go forward with this transaction, I suggest that you visit
our site www.digipawn.com and fill out a short application form. We will
get in touch with you afterwards.

Thank you again for this opportunity to be of service to you and we look
forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Kissinger V. Reyes

This is unbelievable. Publicly self-admitted spammer boasts of making millions as if begging to be sued!!??

Anyway, the concept of pawning domains, while in theory might seem useful, in reality is nothing but potentially messy "minefield" ripe for all sorts of lawsuits.

You are pushing this a little far don't you think? I've never spammed any product in my life. We solicit business on an individual basis. Do you know what UBE means? We don't do that.

What have you done in the Internet business? I've been around and kicking ass for 10 years and I don't deserve your abuse. I'm new to dnforum.com and don't want to sink to these levels but you are being a punk board whore and you shoud know it.

ppl been fussing about digipawn tatics for few days now, was just a matter of time before somone commented in the forums.
if you hadn't, someone else would have.

in regards to a "admitted" spammer....

Send the ...
spam mail WITH HEADERS ...
to his provider on the domain whois info.
More wieght if you show him thumbing his nose by
...Include the qoute and the link to where he "confessed" and brag about how much money he is making.

NatNames.com
1.770.471.9075
[email protected]

Doubtful his provider won't have a choice except take action towards his account or risk a legal complaint and a huge fine. As well as a "x" on their name that will get them hit harder next time.

Do you know what UCE means? And do you do that?

If you didn't spam any product in your life, did you ever spam a "service" in your life?

The fact of the matter is you're sending Unsolicited Commercial E-mail to other people. On top of it, you're lying to people by telling them one thing, and then when they get to your site and sign up, you're doing the other thing - you don't follow through with your own offer. That is the lowest and cheapest tactic you can resort to, and you should hear it! Not that I have any doubt that you don't know what you're doing.

Calling me a "whore" in public deserves a temporary ban!!! Others have been temp. banned from this board for such language, and you should be too!!! Just because you have paying ads here does not make you invincible and above the rules!

Those comments are no way to get customers and/or keep them. Call another person names and bragging about yourself. What the hell is this?

Mods do not let this person continue.
