the double tv is a negative but...

$125 -$270 I think (the other negative is the price of a .tv domain so the buyer better be ready for business)

i think the .tv gives it more value. the way i figure it, Tv and internet will start merging as one where they can both be availabe in a standard tv. (hopefully)

It may work, but I don't like the double "TV" either.

If you really want a tv name, there are only two options I would consider at this point in time:

1. goodnametv.com
- Popular opinion would say that this is the ONLY option.

2. goodname.tv

Don't worry we all register dud names in the beginning. Just hang around here for a while, and you will learn what makes a good name, and avoid wasting (too much!) money on duds.

It may also be useful to keep in mind that .TV is actually the country code extension for Tuvalu.

I only brought that up as I would think that the Tuvalu government would still have some proprietary rights over the extension, and you never know... Perhaps when a significant number of .TVs have been registered, some new set of terms and conditions may pop up.

It should be Digital.TV, not DigitalTV.TV. It looks strange that way..

Sorry Lisa, .TV does not add value to a name. On the contrary it is a major negative for value. As has been pointed out, it is one of many minor country codes masquerading as a global TLD. You will find that at least 95% of the experienced domain sellers here avoid .TV .CC .WS and the like completely. Having said that, digital.tv would be awfully attractive but would cost a fortune under .tv's ludicrous pricing scheme. digitaltv.tv woul have little to no value.
