I had placed a low bid on Namewinner for this and was outbid. I decided not to pursue it but kept it in the watch list to see where it would end up. The highest bid wound up at $57 and Namewinner did get the name for someone. Do you think it was worth it?

I thought a few hundred made sense, but then noticed the word everyone is searching is dining rather than dine (16,000 OT vs. 1000 for dine, 10 mil on Google for dining as opposed to 1.5 mil for dine). So I decided not to chase it above $50. Though I have had good success with .orgs, I thought it handicapped this name more than a lot of others as well.

Duke: The name did NOT drop like you said. The creation date is 11/29/1999. The owner renewed it.

Trust me, I know the history on this name. . .

Also, funny you mention the word everybody looks for ir "dining". I own Dining.org :D

Anyway, I think Dine it probably worth a 200 or so.

I agree with the "Dining" assessment that you both provided! Much more workable ... although, still ... it is an .ORG! This seems like a case where even a small amount of development could go along way! I can see it. Good Luck.

Hey Bob! Congrats on dining.org - definitely a better name. All I know about dine.org is that I watched the bidding on it in Namewinner then today Namewinner switched the status to Pending (as they always do when they catch a domain). Probably some kind of glitch in their system.

dine.org = $5-20 - don't understand the high appraisals.

Priced around $100-$200, should be easy to sell.

Target it to the right person, and it should fetch $1k-$2k
