I'm looking into buying a new domain but was wondering if anyone has used both directnic & godaddy? how are the control panels comparted to one another?

I usually buy from directnic but been thinking of giving godaddy a try. I'm comfortable with the domain control panel offered by directnic and was wondering how godaddy's control panel is. thanks in advance :)

also, how are the following registrars on a scale of 1-10 (in regards to customer service, pricing, etc)

registerfly.com
dotster.com
000domains.com
namecheap.com
buydomains.com
register.com
dotregistrar.com

All of them are user friendly. I've used them all :D

Though I can give you my 3 preferences.

1 - register.com
2 - namecheap.com
3 - dotster.com

Despite of all your domain registrar listing you provided, I highly recommend enom or www.needname.com PDQ site, easy management panel and standard services FREE such as web/URL forwarding, email forwarding and DNS management. If you have other question, please pm me.

Cheers,
tw.

Hi PixelOptik:

I believe you asked about two important issues in your question: customer service & pricing. I am sure others will respond or reference you to the appropriate thread.

As various registrars may be mentioned in responses, be sure to determine if there are additional fees for: customer service, web-forwarding, parking pages, e-mail forwarding, hosting, transfers out or transfers in. In addition, ask if there are different service levels, something you may not be used to with your current registrar. I do not believe all that exactly translates to a 1 to 10 rating.

Finally, you want to determine if the thread respondent is independent of the registrant they are recommending.

Ps. It would help if you mentioned about how many domains you have and/or are considering registering and what TLDs you deal in.

Good luck

I have used both and to be frank, both of their systems are realiable and good.

You can almost register two names with GoDaddy than DirectNic.

I heard GoDaddy has sloppy customer service but I haven't had any problems with them.
