This is one of my first domains purchased and I was wondering how well typos of popular sites work. In this case amaztn.com in place of amazon.com.

My plan is to simply redirect all traffic to amazon.com with an affiliate link. I would then hold onto it for about 6 months and re-evaluate it at that time.

Is it possible to generate much revenue through affiliate links with this or am I better off just selling it off and promoting it as an amazon typo?

Thanks.

Welcome to the boards! A friendly work of advice, stay away from Trademarked names. Typos do work! We own several as do many members on the board but when you start using an established MONSTERS trademark to profit lawyers will start licking their chops. I'd probably sell this one and start with something more generic like gamew.com there are millions of ways to mis-spell plenty of generic terms.

Good Luck!

amazon and Amaztn,
I dont think people will mistype t instead of 0. look at their placement in the keyboard.
so its a poor typo so is worthless.

Yea this name isnt worth anything, T is nowhere near the O. Something like amazpn.com would be worth alot

Thanks for the honest advice guys.

I was sick of going to those free apraisers (and even one paid appraiser) and them telling me my domains were worth high $xxx or even $x,xxx when in fact I knew they weren't.

Typos do work. The likleyhood of someone reaching that typo is slim. The 't' is so far away from the 'o'. I recommend using Good Keywords. :)
