It was x-filed for mod/admin review as it become inflammatory and accusatory.

The first post was very professional.

Why delete the whole thread?

Why not just edit the offending posts?

:(

Exactly, the job of moderators is to keep the thread clean and based on the facts, not deleting it entirely. Warn those who break the rules. Otherwise, it becomes a coverup to remove it entirely.

It will be back when we have had a chance to go through it. It was becoming impossible to keep it in balance in real-time, even with three mods at it at once. Please cut a little slack here. We're trying to keep it fair. As I posted before, it has taken a lot of time to deal with this and the mod concensus at present is to take it private and analyse and report back. It has NOT been deleted from the forum. We need to make sure it conforms to DCG's maxim of "factual data" (as stated above) and without the inflammatory parts. Thanks.

George, please post the URL (sorry I don't keep a mental track of all that goes on) and that will be looked at afresh. There is no "whitewashing" here. Thanks.

I'd ask that you do the same re: the porno.com thread. No need for facts about that matter to be whitewashed either.

Was that the thread that alleged click fraud?

porno.com was being redirected to Poker PPC landers, and later mortgages. They were "framing" poker PPC results from Fabulous, which is against Fab's TOS. After this was exposed, things were put back to the way they are now, porn PPC.

It could be that factual posts are not allowed if they tend to conjecture the wrong opinion about someone of "prominence." And by wrong, I mean an opinion that isn't favorable by the aforementioned person of prominence.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that average people are always afforded the same luxury of deciding which opinion they would like to be held up against.

I put the thread you are talking about in Domain News. We don't censor posts. Let me know if that's the post.

George, other than shaking my head at another of your vendetta's, I wanted to add that I think the the FBI is more qualified than you, me or most anybody here to decide who is at fault in this situation. The FBI charged Gary Kraser.

How is pointing out facts "a vendetta"? Facts are either true or false. Point out one thing I posted in this matter that was false? I point out facts, and let others, who are independently minded, to decide for themselves, taking in their own experience and insight.

Is this a good day for the domain industry, or a bad one? Are folks that are so easily "duped" the ones that expect that we bow to and pledge fealty towards? I'd rather pledge fealty to the Truth and facts.

As of 7:10 pm, the thread is censored again.
