Since I joined the forum I've read a lot of threads about deals between members going bad, suggestions about using escrow, etc. Does it not make a difference when members are 'verified' and why do more not get this?

One of the biggest things is itrader ratings, after that verification, then after that how long they have been an active member.

That said, if you are not 100% sure about a member you should uses escrow.com

Having recently had my 600th all positive iTrader, I can say that business integrity cannot be a percentage of 100%.

I think it goes to how well you know the member and how much the transaction is.

I personally will not accept any payment over $300 other than Escrow from a member I don't know, If they have a great itrader rating, been here a long time, verified and I don't know them very well, $300 is all they get. If they want to destroy their rep, itrader rating and risk account termination for $300, it will hurt them more than it will hurt me.

If you see any red flags or feel uncomfortable about it, trust your instincts and use escrow.

always google the email address they use for escrow, paypal for scam alerts

google their contact info for scam alerts...

google is your best friend!
