Do registrars have access to whois info if it's private?

If I'm using something like WhoIsGuard to hide my whois info, can other registrars still access it?
 
Only the registrar that setup the private whois.

Otherwise, they see what you see using any whois search.

For example, the owners of DomainTools own a number of registrars.
If the data was available, they would display it.
 
No..the whois info can only be viewed by the current registrar through whom you would have the privacy enabled..other than them no 1
