Hi,

Wondering if having a domain name parked (@ NameDrive) keeps the pr high or do you have to have a website.

Domain - 72mph.com PR4

Thanks

Parking a domain probably will kill PR.

not a chance. Parking will kill it. SE hate it.

agreed
If you would like to keep pr, you'd better develop it

Thanks for the feedback you guys. Yeah I'll prolly have a simple website developed for it for now.

Thanks again

All true with one point to remember.
I think PR has more to do with external links than contents.
If all of your incoming links stay, I think parking would not change your PR.
But, many of your incoming links will be removed by web site owners if you park
since your parked page will not benefit their visitors.

So, its not possible for my parked domain with PR0 to get any higer page rank, no matter how many backlinks it has?

Exactly... I have plenty of parked site that have maintained their PR, but what does that do for anyone? I prefer to put a site there and send links off to my other sites.

Thanks a lot you guys, All good information. I think I'll go with having a simple site put together for it. I have a site for my domains but I've never had a site put together specificially for one of my domain names. Any advice on how to go about getting content for it? Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm pretty new at this.

Thanks
Al

That's not true, parked domains can gain PR.

On the other hand, you can't add any backlink when it's parked...

Then how can I gain PR without backlinks?

It's easy to get andrejc... if you already have some backlinks before you park the domain, you may get more PR when google updates.
