capturing the domain? like do they just take it out of your account and then send it back if you dont get the domain?

yes they do actually....I got an email from the confirming it.

Pool.com is the leader in domain backordering and secondary market sales. Pool.com offers a number of products and services. First, Pool.com will obtain deleting domains on your behalf (backorders) through our large registrar partner network. Backorders are free - you pay only if Pool.com obtains the domain for you. Pool.com also offers a Domain Marketplace where customers can buy or sell domain names.
Pool FAQ

if you are making a new account ... they will charge your CC 60$ as preauthorization of credit card .

I had pains for a week trying to make this authorization

finally they ask me to send a fax of papers and CC with signature..... what is this all about... Donno really

I left all these long steps now after become tired.

With me nothing of that happened.

Strange... don't know.

what are these authorization charges?

do they add $60 to ur pool account so that u can use it when u win a name or do they take it as a one time fee ?

you will notice your available balance is decreased by $60 every time you add/change credit card. But the charge will not appear in your statement and in a few days the balance should return to normal before the $60 charge.

you mean, that the pool balance would become $60 everytime i add a credit card and this $60 would be charged from my credit card ? right?

sorry my english sux.

They say you don;t pay until after the fact but they do authorize the amount on your cc - this is to prove that your cc is valid and they can hopefully get the money when a service is complete.

So in a way "yes" they charge your cc - you have $60 less in available balance on your cc to use - it is a "preauth" but after about 10 days, if there is no actual charge, the cc company just deletes it.
