Not worth the reg fee..you can find a much better developable .com with the word scripts in it. Even .net, .biz, .us...all better choices.

there is one reason it was available.....WS is Worth Shit. Sorry....

"There was one reason it was available"

That is a key phrase. None of the other 3 BILLION people on earth thought it was worth registering. That is a pretty good clue right there.

But cats are supposed to have 9 lives - so Tippy still has 8 more .ws regs to go before being interred in the domain cemetery :)

I think it is no need to figure out what .WS stands for since it is NOT DOTCOM, that's it. However, if you are focusing on the keyword term and hoping it works well on SE, then just get it, you know it does not matter what extentions you are. I got many nondotcom domains with very good keyword, there are very few type-ins which I have never expected for, and I am working on them wish someday they would have a high ranks on Google :D
Just my opinion.

I don't have a problem with generic, common-term .ws domains.

Unlike members of this forum, the average Internet user does not associate .ws with Western Samoa.

Also, Sedo recently sold a one word .ws domain for over $2k to an end user.

I agree with RJ. I think .ws is pretty low on the domain pole but a nice generic name is a nice generic name. I got guitars.ws and it definitely works.

I was going to base Scripts.ws on my www.Scriptn.com website, which I am working on now. It's a Script Search engine / Freelance site.

I am very happy with my new .ws :)

Thanks,

Mike

PS : I must be working on about a dozen sites right now, going :weird:

I am thinking to develop Freelance.ws

What do you say?

Wow.. 6 year old thread.

If you have absolutely nothing better to do, have free hosting, and wish to hone your web/programming skills, it could be good practice :-)
