Domain Drop Dates for 2007

Ok, I'm a little confused about the new calculations for domain drop dates -- can anyone help me out with this?

This domain is at Register.com, which is a Snapnames partner. This is from the WHOIS:

Registrar: REGISTER.COM, INC.
Status: redemptionPeriod
Updated Date: 07-jan-2007
Creation Date: 03-dec-2002
Expiration Date: 03-dec-2006

Can I assume that:
1) This name was available at a Snapnames auction and nobody bid
2) The name will drop to the "public pool" on Jan 7 + 35 days ?

again, tehre is nothing you can do with that info, backorder it everywhere and You should be ok. If it drops.
