Nice thread Tony....It's about time that business publications started taking the domain business seriously IMO
Hey Steve....Congrats!....
i was wondering how you turned $620 into $325,000......lol....![]()
i was wondering the same thing when i read that lolol.
Did you really buy a 3 letter .com for $620 in 2007? I find that hard to believe.Hey all!
I'm the mcdonald kid. I didnt really exaggerate at all. I actually did sell QSD.com for $12k, it was in DNjournal. And as for it all starting with QSD.com, I formed my business on Sept 1st 2007, Ive know about domains though since 04/05 but never really had any sales until 07. I dont ever remember saying I grossed $325k, no idea how that number was created.
Overall, though it was a great article.
Steven
When I first spoke with Charlie Foster, he wanted to write the article on CyberSquatters. But once he began talking with everyone, he realized domaining isnt a negative business and he ended up writing a positive article on domains.
I actually just forund out about this article about 10 minutes ago.
Thanks Tony for posting it.
And thanks to all for the kudos.

You actually posted it initially, whether you realized it or not

Who sold qsd.com for $620 (as of September 2007)??It started last September, when he paid $620 for the Internet domain name qsd.com and, two weeks later, sold it for $12,000 to a fellow domain trader, or "domainer."
