I am thinking of starting a site about British comedies in the near future. Which of these domains do you think would be more appropriate for it, and why?

BritishComedy.com
Comedies.co.uk

[NOTE: I own both the above domains]

Thanks!

BritishComedy.com is better, because (here in America, at least) the phrase British comedy refers to a specific genre of comedy. Its not merely comedy that was created in the United Kingdom, it's comedy with its own unique quirks and traits. Comedies.co.uk conveys the fact that its a UK domain, but doesnt say anything about the specific type of comedy offered there.

ditto.

will it be old comedys or more recent stuff?

I'm a big fan of bottom :)rolleyes: oh god i can already hear you typing the responses to that one) and stuff like men behaving badly and these kind of comedys (along with ab fab etc.) are now the typical british comedys so should include all from past to present.

on a side-note anyone here watch 'time gentleman please' with al murray the pub landlord. its gutter humour at its best. stereotypical, xenophobic, lewd. its a snapshot of britain today :D

It will be a bit of both - basically, what I have in the video/DVD cupboard right now (about 100 titles in all). Not exactly sure when I'm going to start, but it's heading towards the top of my to-do list :)

Don't know that one... ultimately, there will be a "Suggestion Box" though so that people can fill in the blanks.
