What would be the price if the domain name is created since late 80's?

For example domains created year:
1985
1986
1987
1988
1989
1990

What price are you willing to pay?

Cheers,
Em

This thread is against forum rule, there's no domains in title and no actual domain name. :)

I would like to pay $1k+ for 198x domains but still depends on the domain name.
One of the world 100 earliest domain sold for $5k in reseller market and it's an excellent name. Just FYI.

I saw other domainers selling domains in 1990-1992 in price range of $5K to $10K or more.

I collect them too and good for page ranking as long as you use the domain. Great for advertising purposes.

I would like to hear other domainer's opinion.

I own one 1992 3 letter .com , yes ranks "instant", but I think its more a prestige factor that counts...

Don't expect fair prices in a resellers' forum ;)
In theory, older domains are like ancient coinage: the older, the better.
However, if you have JK99-CORP.com it's harder to sell as it probably meant something very specific to whoever registered it back then.
There are some lucky buyers that paid low $x,xxx for domains created in the 80's.
But even the early 90's domains - before the commercialization of domains around January 1995 - are hard to come by at low prices.
In other words: price varies per domain.
Disclosure: I own one from 1989.

I also own one domain Jan 1989. How about other domainers?

I have a few from 1993, maybe even some from 1992 but not earlier. Haven't done much with them though

Those who own names from 1989, Acro and theWatcher and others: are these premium keywords names or LLL.com etc. which are quite valuable by themselves, or rather some obscure company names that existed before?
