What is a domain name registrar and how do I select one...?

Legitimate domain name registrars are companies accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to reserve Internet addresses for companies and individuals.

Basically, It's where anyone needs to go if they want to Register(claim for themselves) a domain name that isn't already owned.

I use Godaddy.com or NameCheap.com to register most of my new domain names.
