I had a domain owner on another board tell me they were going to sell the geo.biz (in Southern california) we had discussed developing because i quote" people will think I am gay".

is it just me or is everyone on the Internet developing websites that don't happen to be part of their sexual and/or demographic makeup?

Homophobic domain sellers really tick me off.

maybe that person has some personal issues of their own, which they haven't confronted yet.

worrying about what others think of you, is what keeps many from prospering in life.... it also adds to your stress level.

It's not just about domain "investors". I remember my play being banned and myself basically kicked out of a drama group while in college for writing a love story similar to that of "Brokeback Mountain" (i.e. it's not even about gay people). That was like 20 years ago. You would have thoughts things are better now, but no.

I just got an email from this clown telling me everything i told him about marketing the site, but he mixed the english brokenly and offered me the site name to buy.

Weho "seems to be tagged" gay and lesbian? it's an officially incorproated city representing those lifestyle choices. What kind of moron insists on misunderstanding the development value of his own domain name them flogs it back to the same person stupefied by their lack of common sense and perception of spoken English?

I fail to see how this domain is even associated with homosexuality...If you develop it, it can be able anything really. I personally prefer gay sites...they make more money 8-)

Wow, people would think I'm a very strange person if they ever saw my portfolio (well, even though I am that is besides the point). I think this person has some personal / insecurity issues.

LOL! I agree. Some men even try to project a "masculine" image with gay-bashing.

When I was younger, I was often mistaken as gay (mostly by women though) because of my bold supporting and even advocating for the gay and lesbian. I couldn't care less, because that didn't hurt a bit when it came to getting girls, and actually helped filtering out some unwanted attention (from the undesirables).

straight/gay/not straight/not gay...
Should anyone care?
