I just read however that yahoo and the other search engines log the - domain names easier because domainsales is not a dictionary word, but yet when a hyphen is included it seperates the words and the search engines recognize them?

"But other sites with dashed domains continued to flourish: sites that had gotten their dashed domains into Google's crawler results, where they benefited from Google's link-friendly ranking algorithm. By packing keywords into your domain, dashed domains guarantee that any links to your site will front-load Google's index with your most important keywords in close proximity to your link. My "buy-flowers-here.com" listing on Yahoo!'s directory still smells sweet since it's letting Google know both where I am and what I am. I'm at buy-flowers-here.com and I'm about buying flowers. There is active debate on Google forums about how much benefit keyword-packed domains offer. But there is enough evidence to suggest to many that it's worth it to dash their domains."

I found this interesting tid bit at the following website in their domain name news:

Interestingly I just checked for my keywords in Yahoo and I have 7 of my sites listed in the top 40 ( 2 pages & inc no.1 spot :-D ) and of these sites 4 are non-hyphen and 3 are with a hyphen. Listing 21 (top of page 2) is a hyphenated .biz and others are .com, .net and .org - my conclusion is that hyphens and "lesser" extensions are not hurting my Internet search engine exposure!
Domain-sales.biz probably won't realize it's value here because of reseller prejudice, but sadly because it's all about domain sales its target is to the reseller market so probably in the range of $25 - $50 - better to develop it and use it yourself or maybe sell it later.
