I use a very simple template that I bought on Themeforest, click here to see what I mean.

I like the simplicity of it; it conveys information, and allows for an interested party to simply send you an email.

Only downside is no spam prevention. But the odd spam message I get through these things is a very good object of humour.

Thank you both. I have a simple template not same as you from Themeforest. Spammers give me hell.

I thought the above template in OP is cool because the interested party can put their email to check the status. I even contacted the domain owner, no response for almost a month.

I m using also a themeforest landing template, its more towards video content but there is an option to replace video with more text or an image.

Created the same concept in Wordpress by modifying an existing theme.

A few features that take advantage of WP functions:
The main home page template is created and pulls the domain name from the WP Site Title field.
The menu items can link to wherever you want, SEDO auction, GD Auction.

Just add your Site title, admin email for the contact form and it's done.

I have this setup on a WP Multi setup so I can add a domain in a few minutes, anyone want to test with their domain, PM me or check the info at wp domain park (dot) com

The themeforest Domain Broker theme has built in reCAPTCHA to prevent spam:
