Two months ago I sold a domain and the buyer requested the domain to be transferred to Godaddy (from Moniker). The thing is I still see the domain in my Moniker account even though it was transferred to Godaddy two months ago.

Its not like it bothers me to see it, but I'm worried that if one of my domains is stolen I wont notice until too late.

Is this normal?

Does it show up in your godaddy account and when you do a whois does it say godaddy?

Yes, the domain is at Godaddy, no doubt about it, but it still appears on my Moniker account and its displayed the same way as my other domains.

When I attempt to modify the dns for example (which obviously I cant) I receive an email with the following message:

"Domain DNS Update error Failed to lock a Domain in the registry. java.lang.Exception: Error code: 2201 - Authorization error" FAIL"

This happened at Namecheap before. They had a synchronize button to run to remove transferred out domains. I want to say this has happened once at Moniker. An email to support and a few days wait for a response fixed it.

I still have a few domains showing in my account that have been transferred to buyers account.

Just ask Moniker to remove it from your list

A lot of my domains that I transferred from 1&1 to GoDaddy still show up in my 1&1 account. As long as they don't try to bill me a renewal fee for them...

I think it can be normal but two months sounds a little long, unless it is Oct 1 and you sold them Aug 31st (or something similar).
