appraise Domain value of .XYZ TLD?

Hi domainers,
I am very new to domaining industry and this is my first thread in this forum. I would love to get your kind co-operation here .

As we know recently Google has introduced its mother company Alphabet with a .XYZ (abc.xyz) domain. From my point of view it can be a turning point for .XYZ TLD. I would love to know your personal opinion and experience about this domain extension.

Don't waste your time with any new extensions...they come out all the time and fade away

Google bought G.co as well and people thought it would take off....it didn't
