I've been thinking about programming a Domain Watcher utility in Delphi.
What it will do is check the WHOIS databases of common extensions at custom intervals (say 1 minute, 5 minutes etc.) to see if it has been updated.
If the database has been updated, a list of domain names that the user has previously provided are checked.
If domains from this list are available, then either:
* A URL is visited (with custom ?= parameters available)
* A command is executed (with custom parameters)
* A custom email is sent (eg: to a domain registration robot)
For the purposes of registering the domain.
I'm wondering how useful this software would be, and how much you would be prepared to pay for it...
