Does the letter Q devalue a name?

What about in the case of an LLL.com starting with the letter "Q"

Is its start with the letter Q but ends with 2 good letters can that be bad still?

Like say it was QTL or QSS or QMM dot com, what would names like that be valued at?

Well... If there should be a Q in the name, a good place to have it is as the first letter.
Just a few days ago an LLL.com starting with the letter Q was sold for $18,500 at Sedo.
Another one, QDZ.com (sold by myself), was sold for $9,100, despite one more "bad" letter.

But it varies a lot, and it's impossible (at least for me) to say anything general about it.
But it seems to me as if the gap between "good" and "bad" letter domains is shrinking, at least for LLL.com domains. The price for "bad" domains has increased a lot more in value, which basically makes them to the better buy for an investor in the reseller market. (Or at least was the better buy a few months ago...)

Q is not a bad letter and holds a place in branding of many future forward products.

it all depends in how you market the domain, and whether you focus more on the "Q's" value or lack of, than the domains' value as a whole.


I would say to assess the domains value based on the last 2 letters varieties of acronyms, and match the "Q" with those options.

For instance "QMM" would be "quest multimedia" or QSS "quality stainless steel"


the key is to include the "Q" after you have found suitable usage for the other letters first, then it becomes whole rather than just a prefix or suffix.

if you find some niche' end-users that fit the acronyms, then seek mid $$,$$$
