For Sale domains with no backlinks, but with PR

Hi guys,

Is it worth trying to pickup names with PR but have no backlinks? Its wierd, I found a site with PR but when I searched google and marketleap, it had zero backlinks. Any ideas?

it will be better to pickup domains with backlinks no PR rather than with PR no backlink.

If a name has no backlinks but it has PR (as you seen in snapnames) have for sure that the PR won't stand there when you activate the domain.
However if it has backlinks it will get some PR from those backlinks.

Its been my experience that an expired/dropped domain that still has PR is a domain that Google hasn't yet gotten around to dinging. I've read that google keeps track of whois info, and when they see an ownership change they remove the PR. Its probably true though, that since the site has backlinks, that PR could be restored rather quickly. Just a question as to whether you want to wait or not.
