owen, I regged a name at domainsite and I want to transfer it to another registrar, but since its a .org I need the authorization code, I emailed the transfers@domainsite but no response. Can you please pm me I will give you the name ect....

also, just wanted to say I like your site, I have regged 2 names there so far but will be regging alot more, instead of enom.

The authcode should be the same as your account password. When did you send the email to [email protected]?

Also, if it has not been 60 days since you registered the name, the registry will not allow you to transfer it. There is a registry imposed 60 day period where names cannot be transfered from one registrar to another.

I sent email last night, maybe 14-16 hrs ago.

I just reg'd a few names @ my new DomainSite account, using Paypal (excellent!)... I was wondering:
- How long does it take for the WHOIS to show me as the registrant? I am used to it being pretty fast -or almost instant- with other registrars, but it seems to take a while.
- When 'pushing' the domain into another DomainSite user's account, I need to fill in the Domain Name to transfer. Also, I need to enter a Recipient Account Code. What code is that? Where/how do I (or the recipient) get it?
I did not find info about this in your FAQ (yet), I understand this version of the 'push' function (i.e. with the code etc.) is new, so maybe you did not have the time to update the FAQ yet?

If the order was successful on both the PayPal and on our end, the domain names should go into your account instantly. Whois can take up to 24 hours for COM and NET names due to registry whois update schedules. However, you should still see the domain in your account and if it is in your account, you are the owner. Our whois DB will show you as the owner, but queries will not be directed to it until the registry whois DB updates.

The "account code" is shown at the top of the account page when you log in. It should look something like this:

Account Code : 11111-81a3401

Owen, another problem, I tried to have 2 names transfered from dotster to domainsite, Paypal went through on your site for both names but none are in my acct. Also I have received no email for transfer from dotster. can you please look into this, the names are going to expire soon. thanks. acct name santoro

Transfers are not immediate. You might never get an email from Dotster since it is the responsibility of the gaining registrar, DomainSite, to guarantee that the transfer is legit. We will send an email to the registrant or admin contact for your domain(s) to confirm that you wish to transfer the domain(s) to DomainSite. The entire transfer process can take up to 5 days to complete.

Also, I think we are getting beyond the scope of this thread. Your best bet is probably to email me directly or email [email protected].

I'm currently in Rome and don't have access to some of the stuff that I would need to be able to help you properly. Call 1-800-509-6850 and ask for Scott. He should be able to help you out. Some stuff off of the top of my head would be, did you click the final continue button at PayPal and did it return you to our website? If yes, did you get back an "APPROVED"? If you didn't get back approved, what message did you get back? Again, let Scott know what happened and he can straighten it out for you.

If it does not get resolved by tomorrow, let me know at [email protected] and I'll make sure it gets fixed.

Hi Owen,

I once again have a problem with a order that did not go through correctly using paypal as the payment option.


Error: order does not exist or has already been processed is shown upon return from paypl.

DomainSite order ID: 35923


I have mailed the domainsite report a couple of hours ago, but did not get any answer at all. Can you please look into this?
