As a domain name marketer you probably have sent emails to domain name owners in an attempt to sell them a domain name that is a variant of one they already own. You can increase the odds of a sale by offering the owner more than one variant.

According to an experiment by researcher Daniel Mochon of Tulane University, when subjects were shown a single DVD player only about 10% said that they would buy it. Shown two DVD players, the share who said they would buy went up to 66%, with the share closely split between the two. What we learned: consumers like to have choices. Even if they find a product appealing, they may be unwilling to buy it unless they can consider alternatives.
