I'd have to starve for a day to make up for the leap year losses. Profit margins are only about 1/365 above cost these days. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry, but a buying opportunity like this only comes up once every four years.
You have one extra buying day this year. Take advantage of it !!

Hey, they registrars should treat the 29th like a birth day. Domains get renewed every 4 years for the price of one.

That is little bit unfair because this domains should expire at 1st March not at 28th February.

Another trick:
a .com/.net cannot be paid for more than 10 years in advance. So if you transfer to another registrar you won't get an extra year of reg time.

What's the big deal? You should have the name sold in 30 days or less.
If you hold it for a year then something is wrong!

Holding longer than a year means: more time for offers and less taxes (capital gains taxed at 15% vs. 30%+). Renewal cost is a business expense.

I am not going to hold the name for the tax benefit reason.
The buyer only comes to you once and you can't tell them come back next year so you can save on the taxes.
Also by selling now I have cash in hand to improve my cash flow position.

Screw with the taxes... Get the profit today.... Enjoy life today... Who knows even what would happen tomorrow!
