If the extra bucks can help them handle complex issues, why not?

Anyway, just contact them as the others have said. I'm sure they can make
some accomodations to domainers.

Why? Now that they seem to be getting their shit together with regards to support, I can't really think of too many reasons not to use them if security is high on the agenda.

Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge fan of Moniker , i'm consolidating all my domains there, have been for some time.
Imo they are the best regsitrar.

However they have just left the pricing of .mobi as way too much.
Some guys have been pricing at 6.95 and 9.95

I chose to pay the extra as crap registrars are a false economy

However there comes a time when you feel you're being took advantage of

I for one wont be regging anymore at Moniker & would advise none else to until they get 'with it' with their mobi pricing.

I think overall they have some of the best price structures for members.

$5.49 for net is very reasonable to many other registrars including PimpDaddy Parson who has not budged off $8.99. Bob wrote in an flaming article in his blog months ago that he was so pissed ICANN't awarded the control of .com to VeriSign and VeriSign was going to raise prices which would force everyone to drop the .com and move to .net. Apparently Bob still believes this as he has not dropped the prices a penny on the .net.

Also, this may be old news, but if you will notice on the bottom on Moniker's pages, it has a statement in fine print "soon to be a subsidiary of..."

Have they been bought out?

I just found out I was being overcharged for who is privacy.

Isn't privacy a buck???

GoDaddy is $4.95, Answerable.com is free with registration.

I'm a dedicated Enom Girl and quite pleased with my $6.95 pricing, however the .mobi pricing is high at my reseller, so I use Godaddy for the few I have.
