That's good for them that they got it. I have to agree. For all marketing purposes, the .com is the best. For PPC it doesn't matter, but unless you brand your site with .org or .net in the title, you're in trouble. It seems that the main websites that don't include their extension in their name are .com sites.
For example, Aplus.net. They aren't Aplus, they are Aplus dot net. I don't like them either but I'm using them to prove a point.
Or simply as in they finally got their domain that a fellow cybersquatter had set up with parking keyword: "hosting"..lmao...good for them, they probably paid too much from the way they made it sound.. 2 years??!?! wtf..had I been negotiating it - it might have taken 2 weeks...dummies
whats that old saying? DONT SET UP A COMPANY AROUND A .NET!
Well this would clearly appear to be a case of Cybersquatting, and think they would have had a good case on both TM and UDRP. Maybe 2 years was too long, but it suggests to me that they manage to secure it at a reasonable price. It would also suggest that whilst the dot com is highly desireable they weren't prepared to pay any price to get it.
