Hi,

Dot EU is on the way, so yet another 2nd level ccTLD for everyone to fight over.

Is there any point, will they have any value, isn't the market getting so saturated that all Names are being devalued as a result?

These ccTLD's will only have limited value in their own geographical area. IMO, the proliferation of 2nd level ccTLDs means that only recognised gTLD's are going to be worth anything more than the registration fees.

Has anyone ever sold a dot cc or a dot ws or a dot mu for more than a few bucks? I don't think so. And I also believe that 3rd level ccTLD's are even worse value.

My advice is save your money and stick with the gTLD's

We already have our own ccTLD's, there is no real demand for dot-eu outside Brussels.

I think it's time they had some general TLDs with enforced functions. Some I could suggest are

adult only
strictly no adult sites
business only
kids only
free of flash, popups, viruses, trojans and other nasty tricks

make them enforceable with fines etc. and police them.
