Don't forget Zelda, Beatrice, and Flanagan, too. Somebody please inform the poor souls below that Tom is simply no different than any other name in combination with DotCom and .com, and rescue them from their sad state of ignorance...

If my $0.02 counts for anything, I think DotComTom.com is tremendously cool :) Makes me wish my name rhymed with something!

Plain and simple, this domain is a lot of fun and should be worth a little jingle to the right end user :cheeky:

Somebody please remember to inform the poor souls below that denial is a terrible thing...

In case you missed this quote from www.shitty.name

Mar. 27, 2004 - dotcomguy.com
"Now Accepting: Bids valued over: $265,000".
Maybe the decimal point got moved right seven places?

No, I read it. And I do get it, very clever. But that isn't this case with the people that have claimed thousands.......

I am only poking fun......the same as the article.

What he is saying is that DotComTom is a catchier name than DotComMartha. This is true, and it "could" be a fun name if you develop it with a comical character that would draw some kind of interest. It is worth nothing without development and branding. On that note, how about these: (they might be available to add to your collection)

DotComMom
DotNetBrett
DotUsRuss
DotBizLiz
DotCaJay
DotOrgGeorge

Take your pay per clicks and put your Domain Lock On

Domain Control to Dot Com Tom
Commencing transfer, but Domain Lock is on
Check Auth Code and may DotComGod's love be with you

Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Lift-off

This is Domain Control to Dot Com Tom
You’ve really made the grade
And Domain Name Journal wants to know whose shirts you wear
Now it’s time to leave the Registrar if you dare

“This is Dot Com Tom to Domain Control
I’m stepping through the Sedo door
And I’m dropping in a most peculiar way
And the Snaps look very different today

For here
Am I sitting in a UDRP
Far above the WIPO
The Registry is blue
And there’s nothing I can do

Though I’m past one hundred thousand domains
I’m feeling very still
And I think my PPC knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows?
Domain Control to Dot Com Tom
Your Transfer's dead, there’s something wrong
Can you hear me, Dot Com Tom?
Can you hear me, Dot Com Tom?
Can you hear me, Dot Com Tom?
Can you....

“Here Am I sitting in a UDRP
Far above the WIPO
The Registry is blue
And there’s nothing I can do?

now do We Fade to Gray! d:)

That's cos if you remember correctly, back in 1999 or 2000 (I don't remember exactly when but it was during the .com boom time only) there was this person who had got his name changed to DocComGuy and did an experiment of living for a few months only on the internet.

This whole experiment got a lot of coverage (I remember seeing this thing as a special section on CNet's TV.com ) and I am very sure that this is a high traffic name.

xxx as is, developed more, nice rhyme easy to remmember. Finding the right buyer would be the key so effort would have to be put in. Resellers are tough as you can see
from appraissals. dotcommom.com is also a nice rhyming name, for the buyer who wants originality with a memmorable name it could be desirable,
I place a lot of value in memmorability, remmeber the survey on dotcoms. 60 percent of people who heard an add couldnt remmember the webname and hour later.which resulted in a lot of lost traffic
good luck

i had to go check to see if my name was taken and sure enough ... http://www.dotcommike.com is in use.

on a side note i have dotcomcemetery.com was thinking of flopped sites. 'dot com' has become very widely accepted as an era, but dotcomtom.com, to me, is worth about reg fee, until developed into more.
