It should be working. You should give it a shot now.

The promo is over. Now the second promo and second joke is domains for $5.99.

i just managed to reg 1 domain for $1 god knows how because i sure as hell dont. Must have just sneaked in to the hour I guess

I managed to get 1 @ $1 too. They were selling domains for $6 for a while after the first hour was over.

Damn, I registered half a dozen domains yeaterday as well, I could have saved myself $30+!

Hmm, I wonder if the target-amount of 1000 $1 names got actually reg'd?

(I recall when Register.com had a brief period of unlimited $1 regs, about 7 or 8 (?) years ago ... lovely memory!)

Yah - this was sweet. it was late September 2000 / early October 2000 and teh promotion lasted for 5 days . They did a joint promotion with Staples.com. I had just got in the domain name game and regged like 300 of them. I turned a bunch for nice profits too.

The thing that Register.com did not tell you was that all the names were marked for AUTO RENEW at $35/each. There were a lot of people that had their credit cards charged for massive amounts 60 days prior to the names expiring.

Oh the memories!

The Dotster $1 domains (and $6) were marked for auto renewal also.
