What drop list service(s) show the registrar with which a domain is currently registered? In light of recent NSI and Tucows developments, this is suddenly important information.

Follow our signature, generate a search and then use the whois link.

Can you add registrar to the search functionality? If you do, you may gain a lot of users, considering that this is now a very important element of drops.

Sam - Just so i am clear you would like to be able to search the DB by registrar for each status of domain name?

DropWatch.com will also soon be showing current registrar. And as with the other categories in our databases (overture, yahoo listed, drop date, etc..) each database will be sortable by registrar.

Since NSI is deleting domains differently, I would like to be able to search for JUST NSI domains that are being deleted. So a pulldown list of registrars in your search form (to effectively narrow the search to JUST NSI domains) would be very helpful.

Two points.

First, I don't expect what NSI is doing to last very long. It would appear that ICANN is going to put the kibosh on it.

Second, just in case, I'm working on adding this functionality to DropShark as well. Can't hurt, even if the "service" from NSI goes away.

We decided to create an entire database for the new netsol list of names, instead of just showing registrars. Currently beta testing the new database, should be active to all dropwatch premier members within 24 hours.

As with all databases (onhold, redemption, pending delete, and available), the netsol/snapnames database contains

Overture with extension
Ov w/o extension
Alexa rank
weather the domain is Yahoo listed
weather the domain is Dmoz listed
Google PR
Date Created
a link to the wayback archive for each domain.

And is fully sortable by highest to lowest and lowest to highest in each of these catageories.
