Sometimes I want to hit my scanner because it has been freezing up - but I don't seen any commercial value in the hitscanner.com domain name. In fact this trio is three for three $0 $0 and $0 as far as I can see.

Hitscanner - it can be a "web service" like webtrend live.
But instead reading the whole log file, you only read
the refferers section and display them in a report.
It's like scanning your website hits and found out
where the traffics are coming from???
