Indeed.
Everything that was planned for 2.0 is essentially complete, but the introduction of two items has lengthened the process. The first is the NSI "private list" of names that they're not allowing to drop, but are sending over to Snapnames. I'm not only doing that list, but building in the functionality to quickly add more lists if other registrars go this route.
That's a great addition!
The second is a new data feed including link popularity and a host of other data. I've negotiated what I think is a very good deal for this data, and will be offering it as inexpensively as I can for those who wish to subscribe to it. It's all additional data - that is, no existing or new features of DropShark will require it or require additional payment. But if you want this data, it's available.
Definitely will give drop shark a leg up. The sooner the better on this one.
I'm still shooting to have the beta in existing users' hands by 31 October. I can't promise the date, as there are issues out of my control (as in how long my test team takes to give it the green-light), but I'm doing what I can (including late nights and lots of caffeine).
If anyone wants the beta and isn't a registered user, now's the time to get your copy (hint hint)
