No, you just got caught in a code change. I try to do them later in the evening so as to inconvenience as few people as possible.

I was adding code to compare account names in a case-insensitive manner, and adding a new Web Service function for date selection.

If you're still having problems, let me know.

Also, note that I've now put up a forum for support: http://forum.dropnews.com - in addition to having discussion boards for my upcoming DropNews.Com site, I'll also be managing DropShark support there. I like to do support in the open, in case others are having the same issues you are, and to make it clear that I do, indeed, give good support :)

you should join www.forumtopsites.com if you want to link exchange
I tried your dropshark, maybe want to add some of the tools like watch my domains pro and that line of software. Surely everyone would agree.

HI Chris,

I signed up at your dropshark support forum and also posted to it saying the fonts on the forum is way way to small and very hard to read on my pc any ideas...

Anyone else find the dropshark support forum fonts to small to read..

All other forums I go to work fine.

Thanks
Tom Dahne

Quick update - a new build, 1.0.706.1 will be released tonight with all bugs to date fixed (including ones that simply caused slowdowns) and a number of new features.

http://www.dropshark.com/WhatsNew.aspx for a partial list.

Version 1.0.706.1 has been released. There may be a bug in the shutdown code that gives an exception when you close the program, which can be safely ignored and will be resolved in the next build.

At the rate the new features are being added, I feel reasonably confident that I will be closing the Early Adopter License Promotion near the end of the month, and releasing the next major version.

I'll say it here first - the next major version will also include the ability to monitor names through the process of renewal/non-renewal, grace period, redemption grace, and then pending-delete. It will also include every major popularity intelligence checker as well as the most-requested features of other, more general domain name software.

In short, over the next few months, DropShark will become an all-around tool for most of the analysis functions used every day.

So the offer still stands - purchase your license before the promotion ends for $29.95, and you will enjoy free upgrades for the life of the program. One license now gets you upgrades for as long as the program is maintained (and if you know me, you know that I've been in this industry for almost 20 years, and I'm not going anywhere unless I get hit by a bus).

Go to http://www.dropshark.com to see more. http://download.dropshark.com is where you can download the latest version (and the program works in demo mode if you do not yet have a license), and http://www.dropshark.com/whatsnew.aspx has the change tracking information.

Just a quick note - the next version is coming along nicely and many of the features are already in the hands of testers. The next release will end the Early-Adopter offer, by the way, but I will keep the offer open through August 1, since I'll be interveiwed in DNJournal, and I want to let anyone who hears about it there have an opportunity to get the benefit of the offer.

I'm on vacation for a couple of weeks now, so I'll see you all when I get back!

Bug report:

I select search my list for .com only, exclude dash & numbers, compound words, and .net return mixed in with the results.

Are you able to recreate this?

Thanks,
Jarred

Actually, yes. I missed an exclusion check for compound words. It will be fixed in the next build, which I completed tonight but needs to be tested tomorrow, so should be released tomorrow night.
