Our client has issued the following information:

We are now featured in over 25 news outlets with a presence in the UK and Japan. (We are listed in their search engines). Featured in three newspapers and two local news stations...

Majority of traffic comes from press releases, clubs in Austin, TX, foot traffic to different venues, MySpace (has a myspace account), word of mouth, a few newspaper ads in various cities, craigslist, blogs, and a few actual news stories, with the most traffic coming from MySpace.

I can say from August 2, 2006 to Sep. 3, we have endured 30,000,000 hits and now averaging 3 Million Hits over the last five days.

There is a compilation CD set to be released very soon in major markets. We have been contacted by a record company in California that is going to handle the production and distribution of the CD.

Drulz.com has its own dedicated server with Hivelocity hosting.

Apparently AdSense was only introduced on Thursday of this week, there is no significant data available at the moment.

How does a site get 35,000,000 visits in a month but can't crack the top million sites in Alexa?

I think this could be a matter of how often Alexa resolve their figures for the 3 month avg. Afterall, the site has only been live since early July.

I've just looked this morning 1100GMT and it's showing the ranking of 1,164,689 which is a 3 month avg, and 212.972 for a 1 week avg, today's avg is not listed because it is currently outside of the top 100k. This must be only just, as the site was showing 90,880 in this category yesterday, maybe by the end of today we may find it back within the top 100k.

The BIN figure is very reasonable based on only 12 months revenue. But then this is not how much our client is asking for the concern, this is a BIN figure which we have suggested.

The general stats and rate of growth for this site are very healthy considering it's age, I would like to stress at this point that this should be a very attractive proposition for anyone wanting to operate in what is a booming media industry.

Alexa can not be pointed to as a reliable figure, PR is based off links and this is stated to be advertised via newspapers and pressreleases, and word of mouth, so thats normal aswell. If your not going to say anything nice dont say it at all, think if it were your sales thread.

The three strongest points regarding this concern is the rising level of popularity, the overall member/artist base and the monthly $10k+ turnover - with growth.

Yea, well, I am looking to buy a highly trafficed site, and have a budget up to 250k. But, you'd think that at least a couple of those 35 million people visiting the site would have the Alexa toolbar. Sure, it's not a very accurate measure of traffic, but you can use it to rule out dodgy traffic stats.
