Can't seem to find out how to take down a thread I posted that is now out of date.

Any help?

Thanks

You can't. Just edit your posts.

Can I ask a moderator to axe it? Or, just let it fall down the list into obscurity?

As far as I know, threads do not get deleted but can be locked so that they can't be updated/bumped. Just report the thread with your request.
