Hi

are you the owner of this domain?

also, sedo stats indicates this domain has less, than the required "30 visits" per day.

Thanks

Ok im confused ... Title says 2000 uniques a day, Text you wrote says 200 uniques a day, and sedo parking page says about 10 a day.

Thats exactly why the Sedo stats are not reliable - as unique they count every hit, even "img src" from another server...

If they would make accessible statisticks including referrers and IPs, I would spend there a LOT. But now with so many unbelievable "traffic" domains...how can I find, what is the traffic ? Linked pictures for example...same problem with Afternic BTW...

with names like that, you can use htaacess to direct those people to your site/park page. Sedo should start to either block that traffic or direct it to the parking page.

Now I would love to know, if somebody has on his page "img src=myserver.com/aaa.jpg" how could I redirect them with .htaccess to my server...

Denny: Do you want to stop sites directly accessing stored images/files on your server? Or you want to redirect those requests to your server's home page? Can you explain what you want in more detail?

If I want to stop, I just make 0B file with same name, is most bandwith saving afaik (only headers sent). But if You know a way, how to redirect img src on another server (img src to my sever) or even there is link rel=StyleSheet HREF=style.css and in the style.css is this @font-face { font-family:webfont; src:url(http://mydomain.com/font.mwf); }, now if you know, how to change this into html view traffic, you are nobel prize candidate :)

PHP:
RewriteEngine on
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?mydomain.com/.*$ [NC]
  RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ - [F]

or to redirect to another image on another server

PHP:
 RewriteEngine on
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?mydomain.com/.*$ [NC]
  RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ http://www.myotherdomain.com/badimage.gif [R,L]

this stops people stealing your bandwidth also

Hotlink protection in cpanel

http://www.choped.com/htacess/htacess.bmp

I think that if anyone that is not in that list will then be directed to the site you tell it to.

Tha bandwith is not big issue. But this solution will do only thing - show "broken image" icon to the user (try img src to html file - no html view for sure...)

the second solution I posted you could in theory block your own domain and it could redirect all images to another server.. however the user would only see
<img src="file.gif">

never tried it, but I would think it would work

In all seriousness ... come someone explain to me how the sedo stats have such a bid discrepancy between what it shows here:

DOMAIN STATISTICS:
Visitors to this Sedo Listing: 20
Unique Visitors per month: 301

and the 2000 unique daily impressions Jay claimed?

thanks for the clarification

John

John, as I mentioned before, I'm guessing that the sedo stats refer to lookups on sedo -- his actual stats (the ones he's quoting the uniques from) must come from his current landing page which isn't sedo. Or maye I'm getting fried today :)
