What's everyone's take on posting domains currently in eBay auction??

I just put one up at eBay, but didn't want to post that here unless it was status quo.

Thanks,

You can post a link to your auction in our Domain Auctions forum - but this counts as your post for the day in that forum :-D

Good luck!

It is a good idea for some names...I have made a couple nice sales, but overall I think the best idea would be to skip it, because there are so many crappy domains there with insane prices, that the 'real' domain buyers stay out of there.

Yeah, that's why I never go there to buy anything myself. I wish that ebay would implement some kind of validation system (but they won't because they would lose business).

However, I saw lesser domains that had bids on them for $500+

It irritates me, so what I've tried to do is "educate" the potential customers on why the other auctions there are bogus --i.e. they lied about Yahoo inclusion, mislead on #1 ranking claims, lied about traffic, etc etc

If it works out well, then I'll use ebay for some of my smaller domains; if not, then oh well.
