It's only one and I think most if not all domainers will know exactly what is being done. It is an ad to get Ebay sellers and buyers to come on board.

Good stuff I think its a positive thing

it can easily drive new people to dnforum.com giving us all new people to interact with and new buyers and sellers
plus I’d bid on it. that would make sure no selling for $.01

Any concerns about a Platinum membership showing a penny price are gone.

Not bad 40.10 with 9 days to go., I think this would bring more quality members to the forum and make alot more people aware of it that might not be. There seems to be alot of domain sellers on eBay that I am not familiar with, that list domains every week that might not be members here and could benefit from advertising thier domains for sale here or listing them on Sunday's.

I think maybe try this once or twice a month, just to show members that might be on the fence that they have a chance to be a platinum member without paying the 49.99. I think most of the current Platinum members would not have a problem with doing this. It seems the current roster of platinum members did not think twice about supporting this forum.

Maybe try some kind of deal on Gold membership?

As you know, I wasn't a big fan of the idea at first - people seeing the name at 1 cent seemed to devalue the Platinum membership in my eyes.

I would like to take this opportunity to admit I was wrong.

Seems the action (at the time of this post) is at $40 +
