hi, on godaddy, ecomother.com is being sold as a premium domain for $2188.

I just purchased ecofather.com - does this have similar value?

Just because a domain is being sold at $2188 doesn't mean it actually has that value... It would if someone bought it, but then even that is subjective. Whose to say there might be anyone else who wants it?

EcoMother.com makes sense in a way, because we refer to Mother Earth. I've never heard reference to Father Earth though, so I'm not sure your domain would really have much appeal in that sense.

EcoMother is being sold at a completely illusory price. If you want to assess your domain's value you must rely on ACTUAL, CLOSED PUBLIC SALES. There are many domains listed on eBay for 5-6 figures... and not one worth even $50.

Both names value, IMHO is MINUS reg fee, since once regged it's a loss.

great advice guys, appreciate it...really new at this, and am definitely learning more about domain values.

I would of never had guess that llll's are being resold for hundreds ( thousands?). I guess it's a function of supply and demand.

My question to all of you, given that in 2008 llll's are worth x amount (something probably very few ppl knew in 1998),would there ever be a day (say 2018)where shortages for more common 2-3 word combinations may result in higher domain values? example: ecofather.com, or another one i bought - ecofriendlymarketing

I guess I'm trying to see this in a long term investment point of view, and am just curious to whether "worthless" names today are hidden gems.

Thanks for all your help again

BEWARE!!! You are talking about CERTAIN LLLL dotcoms. There are many LLLL available for registration, but most of them, if not all, suck. Some good LLLL have made great sales lately, but mostly pronounceable ones, great acronyms and, at the top, attractive 4-char nouns, and I assure you they are not easy to pick cheaply.
